Lands and Wildlands
The universe of Continuum World contains over 20.000 floating islands, formed by 6 different biomes. These biomes can be Lands (purchasable by players) or Wildlands (belong to the system).
A land's value is indicated in Land Stars (from one to five). These stars are a general qualitative summary of the following aspects of the land:
- Land size: Small (1 biome), Medium (3 biomes) or Large (5 biomes).
- Biome: Forest, Grassland, Rocky, Volcanic, Glacial and Mystical (the last one being the rarest). Each biome has its own ecology.
- Biome rarity type: I, II or III (the last one being the most uncommon). Each rarity has exclusive resources.
- Biome richness level: Regular, Abundant or Wealthy (the last one being the most valuable). The richness affects the amount of resources.
Take a look at Lands and Wildlands ecology for more details about Continuum World's natural elements and resources.
Gathering
Gathering resources requires the help and cooperation of your two companions: UMibot and Vacumi.
- UMibot is your top-notch robot. It is used to scan and turn large natural elements into gathereable resources. It requires energy.
- Vacumi is a portable hand-sized bio vacuum who loves to absorb resources, making it the perfect match with UMibot. It does not require energy.
Lands and Wildlands have different ecologies, with the exception of several common resources. The gathering flow is different as well:
- Widlands are gathered remotely from the map through the UMGear-Z, due to the risk
- In safe Lands the player can explore freely, controlling their UMi.
Your UMi inventory is limited to 10 slots, but it can be upgraded, or also expanded by constucting or renting Warehouses.
Gathering in Lands
In Land mode, you are able to control your UMi directly and explore your biomes freely. To enter other player's lands, a battery fee has to be paid depending on the quality of the land.
- Enter in a land through the Lands Menu in your UMGear-Z (see Lands Menu).
- Send your UMibot to scan large natural elements to turn them into resources (it requieres energy).
- Use Vacumi to absorb and store these resources.
Exclusively in Lands, small natural elements, like grass or flowers, can be gathered directly with Vacumi. It is possible to find living fauna as well...!

Gathering in wildlands
Using your UMGear-Z, it is possible to gather resources of these dangerous terrains remotely, from very high above.
From the map, only large natural elements are visible. UMibot is always required.
Zoom in and out to explore, and click on a natural element to gather it and obtain resources.
Synchronizing the signal
To gather remotely in Wildlands, your UMi needs some help to properly synchronize the UMibot signal with the UMGear-Z.
- Once a natural element is selected in the map, your UMGear-Z will open automatically, displaying your UMi and UMibot in the world.
- At the bottom, your UMibot scanning screen is located. This screen displays your UMibot scan visor and the natural element with an animated circular marker that fills and unfills automatically.
- Your goal is to drag and drop your UMibot visor to the circular pointer before the timer is over (on bottom-right corner).
- As long as the marker is inside the visor, the gathering will be successful. Missing does not consume energy nor batteries.
Tip: Once the marker is inside the UMibot scan visor, the image quality of the UMGear-Z improves, and the visor interface displays straight lines. Use this cue to know when the visor is in the correct spot!
- There are three possible positive outcomes: Not bad, Great and Perfect. Release the visor when the circular marker is filled to obtain better results. The more filled, the better.
Great and Perfect gatherings grant, as an extra reward, Ranking points.
Good luck, explorer!
Mystery Box
Apart from natural elements, '?' boxes may appear in Wildlands as well. Discover what is on the inside by gathering them, just like a natural element: UM, ranking points, UMibot batteries, UMibot chips, buildings resources and, if you are lucky enough, exclusive NFT!
Energy and Batteries
UMibot requires energy or batteries to scan natural elements from the world and turn them into absorbable-size resources.
Each gathering consumes 1 energy, which is refilled automatically over time (up to 10).
Only when running out of energy, batteries from the inventory will be loaded automatically on the interface.
Batteries work exactly in the same way as energy.
Batteries can be obtained in Missions, Mystery Boxes or purchased in the Shop with UM (press on the UMibot icon to go directly to the Shop). These are not reset after the end of the season, so try to store as many as possible!
Lands Menu
From this menu, you can manage everything related to lands. The main functions are the following:
- Entering and exiting a land. Not owners have to pay a battery fee to enter.
- See information about the land: stars, biomes and ecology status.
- See information about the biomes that compose the land: type, rarity, richness and decoration points.
- Managing the decorations and buildings of these biomes.
Lands Menu also displays the Ecology Status of the Land or, in other words, how many natural elements are left. Natural elements of the land are fully regenerated every 72 hours.
To see the biomes of a land, just expand its tab. In the same way, expand the biome tab to see their decorations and buildings information.
Lands Menu contains a lot of information: use the filters to turn this menu in your primary searching tool.
Buildings
Players who own a Land can construct buildings in their biomes, while other players can use these for a UM fee.
Only one building of each type can be built per biome (5 in total).
To interact with a building, just search it in your Lands Menu, or bring your UMi close to the building in the Land mode.
There are 5 building types:
- Biome production buildings: produces exclusive resources. There are three types, depending on which biome is placed: Greenhouse (Forest and Grassland), Extractor (Rocky and Volcanic) and Aquarium (Glacial and Mystical). Each biome (and rarity) has its own exclusive resources.
- House: produces levelpoints.
- Solar Panel: produces batteries.
- 3D Printer: crafts exclusive resources. There are a total of 18, one per biome and rarity.
- Warehouse: increases your UMi inventory slots by 10. Build more than one to accumulate the effect.
Construction: UM Staking
To construct a building, select the biome on your Lands Menu. Then, choose the building you want to construct. Construction can be executed both from the map (the building location will be placed randomly, even though it can be moved anytime) or from the land (the player can choose the building location before constructing it).
Constructing buildings requires resources and UM Staking.
Buildings can be dismantled by pressing the "x" button on the corner, with a 0% lineal fee after 10 days.
Buildings may be reset before each season. In that case, the staking amount will be unstaked automatically.
Leveling up your buildings
Buildings can be leveled up to a maximum of level 10 to increase their effectiveness, like improving their production or reducing the cost of crafting resources, for example.
To level up your buildings, press on the button displaying the current level of your building and use the required resources the level it up to the next level.
Buildings as owner
As owners, each building type provides its own benefit.
- Greenhouse, Extractor and Aquarium produce resources automatically. Their production accumulates up to 3 hours, but it can be harvested as long as one resource has been produced. The amount of resources produced by these buildings depends on the biome richness. Take a look at Economics for more detailed information.
- House and Solar Panel produces automatically levelum and batteries, respectively. Their harvesting works in the same way as the biome production buildings above.
- 3D Printer allows to craft one exclusive resource by combining 3 other resources. Depending on which biome and rarity the building is placed, their recipe differs. This means there are 18 total exclusive resources.
- Warehouse increases the UMi inventory by 10 slots (until dismantling the building).
Owners receive revenues from the fees paid by non-owners, which can be collected in Profit submenu of the UMGear-Z. Even if your building is far from the center or hard to find on the map, owners share the pool of benefits by biome, rarity and building type.
Buildings as non-owner
As non-owners, players have to pay UM to use buildings on-demand.
- Greenhouse, Extractor and Aquarium: produce resources. The production time takes 3h, the same it takes for owned buildings. The price for using On-demand depends on the production amount. Use the "On-demand" filter in Land Menu to see the list of your on-demand services.
- House and Solar Panel: obtian levelum and batteries, respectively. There is no waiting production time.
- 3D Printer: resource crafting. The recipe resources are also required, apart from the UM fee. There is no waiting time either.
- Warehouse: +30 UMi inventory slots for 24 hours. This time can be extended by renting several Warehouses. The timer is displayed on the Inventory Menu, right below your regular inventory slots.
As soon as the Warehouse extra slots timer ends, a notification will be displayed in the UMGear-Z, allowing you to extend the timer and move resources between regular and extra slots. If the timer is not extended, resources from extra slots will be lost. Please, be careful.
UMibot chips
UMibot chips can be obtained by completing missions and opening Mystery Boxes, or purchased in the Shop. These chips have two different uses:
- Auto-harvesting your buildings when your are online... and offline! This feature is available for production owned buildings only (Greenhouse, Extractor, Aquarium, House and Warehouse), and has to be manually activated in Lands Menu - Building. 5 chips are consumed for each resource harvested.
- Skip the remaining production waiting time. This feature is available for On-demand biome production buildings (Greenhouse, Extractor, Aquarium). The chips required depends on how many resources are left in production.
Decorations
Decorations are NFT that can be placed in your biomes. Each biome can contain up to 10 decorations.
These decorations grant Decoration Points, which increase your buildings' production and effectiveness.
The Decoration Points increase when placing a decorations depends on 3 variables: decorations' rarity, if it has been placed in the correct biome and if the decorations have not been repeated in the same biome.
Decorations can be added or removed the Lands Menu, even while your buildings are producing resources:
- If decorations are removed, the current buildings production will be affected.
- If decorations are added, the current buildings production won't be affected. The next one will.
Biome production buildings can be harvested as long as one resource has been produced. Do this after adding decorations to start a new production cycle right away with the new production power.
Ancestral Decorations are a little bit different from the other decorations. Their rarity is Ancestral, and only one of these can be placed per biome.
Apart from the production points increase, they grant a Daily Bonus when placed in the correct biome. This bonus can be collected in Lands Menu -> Profit submenu (global refill at 12:00 pm UTC).
Decoration Points Effects
- Biome Production Buildings: +1 resource production for every decoration point.
- House: +1 levelpoint production every 5 decoration points.
- Solar Panel: +1 battery production every 5 decoration points.
- Warehouse: +1 extra slot for each decoration point.
Missions
Missions are the main way to obtain rewards.
- To complete a Mission 3 different resources are required, and can be completed by any number of times to obtain the displayed reward.
- Once a mission runs out of availables, another one will replace it.
- When a player completes the same missions more than once, the requirements to complete it are increased each time.
Based on requirements and rewards, there are 4 mission category types: Lands, Wildlands, Biomes and Recycler.
Lands missions require any resource from Lands, buildings resources included.
Wildlands missions require any resource from wildlands. This means buildings resources are not required.
Biome missions require any resource, but are exclusive of its own biome. At least, 1 building resource is required.
Recycler requires any resource, and the reward obtained is always another resource. During some special periods, recycler rewards can be also UM.
Completing missions grant a wide variety of rewards: UM, UMi boxes, ranking points, Umibot batteries, UMibot chips, resources and event-exclusive NFT like UMi clothing or land decorations.
Crafting
For the very first time in First Settlers, players can use 3 natural resources to craft exclusive crafted ones. There are two ways to craft resources:
- 3D Printer: available exclusively in 3D Printer buildings. There are a total of 18 exclusive crafted resources, one per biome and rarity.
- NFT Recipes: available from your UMGear-Z, as a different tab in Mission Menu. In here, players can see their list of NFT Recipes and use them in the same way they would to complete a mission.
Gathering bonus
The gathering of your UMibot and Vacumi can be improved in two different ways, which are accumulative:
- Equipping NFT Sets or NFT Costumes to your UMi.
- Clothing completion. This means, collecting Costumes and Sets.
Equipping Sets and Costumes
In First Settlers Season 1, the maximum bonus level is 5. However, not all clothing items grant this bonus. There are two ways to obtain it:
- Equipping Set pieces: individual pieces of the same set (Landlord, Herbalist, Sand Dweller, etc.) increase the bonus level one by one, up to 5.
- Equipping Costumes (VIP, Halloween, etc.): increase your bonus depending on its rarity, up to 3.
Your current equipped bonus can be seen in My Umi anytime.
Also, each time a natural element is gathered in the game, it's displayed in the bottom-left corner of your UMGear-Z:
Depending on your bonus, the following gathering stats are increased:
- Maximum drop increase: Every gathering, extra resources might be added to the drop.
- Double drop chance: Equals to a critical %, providing with the double amount of resources when it happens.
Clothing completion
By completing UMi clothing Sets and Costumes (having the NFT in the game), the double drop chance is also increased (repeated ones do not count).
The Clothing Bonus submenu, available in My UMi menu, helps you keep track of your bonus clothing items and makes things easier to find them in the Marketplace, as well as displaying your current total bonus (equipped + completion).
Ranking
In Ranking menu, you can see in real time the ranking of the current season and check the previous seasons too.
The main Season Ranking is at the top. Below, the minor Weekly and Birdum rankings are displayed.
Missions, Mystery Boxes and Deities Daily Bonus grant ranking points. The best explorers will obtain rewards (exclusive NFT and UM) based on their points once the event finishes.
Birdum Ranking accounts for the amount of golden feathers collected and the rewards are exclusive Birdum eggs.
Hunting Birdums
Birdums can be found in Wildlands and Lands.
Hunting birdums in Wildlands
Find a Birdum footprint icon on the map and click on it.
Then the minigame starts, and you get a hint about the next trace location and direction to find before the time is up.
There are several Birdum traces to find. Once the final trace is found, then a Birdum icon appears. The Biome where the last icon is found determines the biome of the Birdum.
When you press on it, the UMGear-Z opens like a gathering, displaying the UMi and the Birdum. On the UMGear-Z screen, the minigame is very similar to the current gathering minigame, but instead of a prop image there is a Birdum moving randomly. You have only one capture attempt!
Birdum drop works like a regular prop, with 5 possible feathers. There are 15 types of feathers, some common to all birdums and some exclusive of their biomes.
Element | Min. drop | Max. drop |
---|---|---|
Common Feather | 1 | 3 |
Common Tawny | 1 | 2 |
Common Blaze Fury | 0 | 1 |
Biome Feather | 1 | 2 |
Royal Biome Feather | 0 | 1 |
Golden feather work as points for a global ranking, and can be obtained only by executing Great or Perfect in the minigame.
Gathering | Golden Feathers |
---|---|
Not Bad | 0 |
Great | 1 |
Perfect | 3 |
Hunting birdum in Lands
Although not common, birdums can be found wandering in a land. If that's the case... try to catch a few of its feathers using your Vacumi! But be aware: these creatures have an exceptional awareness of its surroundings, and they will run as soon as they detect you.
